Owen is one month!

Random things about Owen's first month:

*Owen has what we call the "0 to 60" cry. Most babies work their way up to a full on scream...Owen often starts at a full on scream. (I actually noticed how loud his cry was just moments after he was born. After he let out his first cry I thought it was much louder than I remember Jack's being.)

*Despite what you may think after reading the above statement...Owen is a pretty mellow baby. He may have the "0 to 60" cry, but we don't see it that often.
*Owen is SO easy to put to sleep. 99% of the time you can just lay him in his bed (or my bed, or the couch, or a blanket in the park...he's not picky!), and he'll ususally just fall right asleep. He seems to prefer to put himself to sleep rather than to fall asleep in your arms.

*Owen can sleep through just about anything including vacuuming a few feet away from him and being poked at by his big brother.

*Owen burps louder than anyone else in our family.

*Owen is starting to smile, and it's just the cutest thing EVER!

*One of Owen's nicknames is "piglet" because he sometimes snorts when he breathes. He did this when he was brand new (the nurses thought it was probably that he was a little "over-suctioned" by the firemen after he was born and so it irritated his nasal passages), and has started doing it again the past couple of days (Jack has had a mild cold, and I think Owen might have caught it). Poor little guy!

*Owen loves baths (as long as you keep a warm, wet washcloth on him at all times!). Jack loves helping give Owen his baths too. Jack's job is to wash Owen's toes, and he takes it very seriously - Owen's probably got the cleanest feet around!

*Owen is a good traveler. We went up to Salt Lake City last weekend for Camryn's blessing, and he was SO good - slept almost the whole time!

Owen is such a sweet baby...he has the three of us wrapped around his finger!
