Halloween 2009

I figured I should probably blog about all of our Halloween happenings before it's Thanksgiving already!
This year we started off the Halloween fun with a trip to a local rec center for a trick-or-treat. It was cute. The rec center employees dressed up and passed out candy. This was the first time that Jack understood trick-or-treating and he LOVED it!!!
{Check out what Jack got!}
{YUMMY!}

Next, we hit up the Trunk-or-Treat at Adam's parent's ward. Good times. More candy.
{Our kids look miserable. They were not.}

{Owen the monkey and Jack the lion with Uncle Andrew as Clark Kent}
{My sister Lexi made these cute Zockoll Zoo shirts for Adam and I to wear}
The night before Halloween we finally carved our pumpkin. Jack was VERY into the whole thing, and so proud of the finished product.
{Cleaning out the pumpkin guts}
{Gross}
{We gave Jack his own little plastic knife and let him "carve" after Daddy. I love the look in his face. He took it so seriously.}
{Owen looks a little sad to be missing out on all the pumpkin action}
{Mr. Pumpkin}
Halloween morning pumpkin chocolate chip pancakes were made over at the Fagan's. I slept through the whole thing! Adam brought one over to me later.
Y-U-M-M-Y!
{Jack and his Jack-O-Lantern pancake}
That night we went to the Lund's house for pizza with the family, and then on to our ward's Trunk-or-Treat. Pizza was GOOD. Trunk-or-Treat was kinda lame (we hardly saw anyone from our ward).

After Trunk-or-Treat, we hit up a few houses in our neighborhood (Jack was just having too much fun trick-or-treating), passed out some of our own candy, and hung out with the neighbors (check out the Fagan's blog for more pictures). Fun times!
Currently I am gaining about a pound a day from all the candy I've been eating. Letting all that yummy chocolate go to waste would be a crime, right?

Grandkids Movie Night

Tonight Adam helped his parents set up an outdoor movie night for the grandkids.
They all got in their jammies and watched Monsters Inc.
Mama Z helped them get LOTS of blankets and pillows so everyone would be comfy.

Everyone got their own cup of popcorn and settled in to watch.

It was lots of fun!

On our drive home Jack kept asking for more. I think we'll have to do this again!

Saturday

Saturday evening the weather was lovely.
Poor Adam had to work.
I got to play with these two cuties in the backyard:

Cutie #1

Cutie #2

We picked some flowers (weeds).
Jack picked this one especially for Chardie.
(Lex - Can you see his little mouth saying "Chardie" in this picture?)

We played with our new favorite toys (hands).

There was some brotherly love.

Maybe a little too much brotherly love.

It was a lovely time.

Enjoying the beautiful weather...

The weather has been SO gorgeous this past week (highs in the 80s which is CRAZY for Vegas in June!), so we've been trying to spend as much time outdoors as possible.
Last week this included a trip to the park and a Sonic run.
Jack loves the swing. He calls it a "wheee...."

Time for a YUMMY chocolate malt at Sonic.

And some good old mozzarella sticks (darn those pregnancy cravings). I was actually unimpressed with the mozzarella sticks, but Jack LOVED them!

Boys weekend

Last weekend I went to California with my sister Lexi for a weekend with my mom and sisters (and dad!). We had TONS of fun, but unfortunately my husband is more of the picture taker, so I have no fun pictures from my trip.

The boys on the other hand took tons of pictures! Lexi's husband, Richard (Chardie as Jack calls him) came down and spent a fun weekend with my boys. On Sunday they all went to the explore Red Rock Canyon. Here's the day in pictures:

Jack's GQ pose!
L-O-V-E the cheesy grin and the AWESOME hat!
Chardie teaching Jack how to ride the rails.
Jack wanted to climb all by himself (seriously, where did my baby go?)

We love our cousins!

Some great things about cousins...

By: Jack
1. Cousins give you picture posing advise.
(Jack is out of shot in this picture, but Sammy was looking at him and pointing at the camera telling him to look and say "cheese." She's too cute!)
2. Cousins push you on the swings.
3. Cousins will join you for a jump on the bed at Grandma's house.
4. Cousins will snuggle with you under the covers when you're all worn out from jumping.

5. Cousins don't judge your hygiene habits.
