Jack is a trouble maker. As you can tell from this picture he gets into EVERYTHING! We had just had dinner with Adam's brother Aaron, and had brought back some leftover cornbread muffins. Jack found them in the diper bag, opened up the Ziploc back and proceeded to dump the contents out on our rug, mash them up and eat them!
In the past couple of weeks he has also figured out that the baby locks don't keep you from still enjoying the contents of cupboards and drawers. Who need to open the whole cabinet when you can just sneak your hand in the small opening and pull out what you want?
A baby gate does not stop my child, merely slows him down. If the baby gate is closed, but the lever is not pushed entirely down to lock the gate, he knows how to lift the lever, open the gate, crawl up on to the stairs, and close the gate behind him.
And no trouble maker post would be complete without tearing up toilet paper. That part I can handle, but the fact that he knows how to push the toilet seat all the way up so that it will stay open and he can play is just too much! Jack and I were at Adam's sister Alisa's house, and Alisa and I found her three kids and Jack in the bathroom. Parker (who is two weeks older than Jack), and Jack were happily splashing away in the toilet. When Alisa asked Nicky (her 3 year old) who had opened the toilet for the boys, Nicky replied, "Baby Jack." When we told Nicky that baby Jack was too little to figure out how to prop the toilet open, Nicky kept insisting that it was baby Jack, and then when Alisa asked again, blamed it on his little sister, Sammy. As I was telling Adam this story later, he told me that Nicky was probably right the first time, as he's watched Jack prop the toilet seat open.
I am going to be in serious trouble when he gets older!
